good point. I think I am going to try the high gloss engine enamel out (I saw a few DIYs on other forums using the normal duplicolor wheel paint - which is what I used on my brothers wheels - but I liked the look of the high gloss engine enamel my friend used).
If it comes down to it and I don't like it, then I sand it and have them powdercoated.

Update:
I primed my wheels with duplicolor primer (aerosol can) and painted with duplicolor gloss black engine enamel, contrary to the popular opinion towards powdercoating. It turned out amazing because I spen't a ton of time sanding/prepping.
More pics up soon.

So update on the project - the wheels are holding up pretty well. One of the wheels was owned by a rock and I have a huge chip in one of the wheels, but other than that they are good to go. They still have the same level of shine as the day they were done being painted.
But I was involved in a wreck two days ago - got rear ended at about 3 mph. I am getting a check from insurance - normally I wouldnt claim on an accident that didnt do much damage, but the guy who hit me was not the most stand up guy I've ever met - therefore I just purchased an Invidia V3 exhaust that was for sale in classifieds. I hope to have it on by Friday with new pics.
The only things left on my to do list are an intake, springs, and a system. hopefully I can get it all done by the time college starts back.

Cfactor,
I'm glad you didn't give up on the Duplicolor. In used it (pearl graphite with self-etching primer) this past winter for my spare set of AP1 rims. Originally I added clear but didn't like the results. The redo ended up with 8 coats of the pearl graphite, plus Rick's badges and a set of black anodized TR413 valve stems, which to my eyes looks great.
