ok well i havent ben in here in a long long time i now have my personalized license plate S2KGIRL btu thats not the big thing. well about a month ago i was driving and i went ot go inot 5th gear and it just grinded and wouldnt go in the about a few days later it went in but as soon as i hit the gas it poped back into neutral!!!! what the *@#&?!?! finally the other day i got it into the dealership and they said that they have to keep it her for a week, a week without my baby! i am gonna die, and the worst part is that they have to take the tranny totally apart i aqm so worried i have no idea whats gonna happen...all i have to say is thank god for warrenties! lol and i only have 14940 miles on the car why is this happening to my baby?!?! has anyone else had this happen please let me know.

It's not so bad, at least they're gonna fix a mechanical problem ... Not an accident issue.

my only problem with the 5th gear area has been when i was in 5th went to 6th and the shifter wouldnt move i double clutched it and it worked but was stiff shifting and i took it in to the dealer and got the usual couldnt reproduce issue

sounds like its definitely your syncros. hope everyhing goes well for you once you get the car back.
you might want them to perform the TSB 55 while they're at it.

First time hearing about problems with 5th gear. Did the clutch disengage properly? Mine has a bad clutch, I can sit at a light and just press the clutch in/out and watch my idle speed varying from 900rpm-500rpm sometimes.

Mine has a 4th gear pop-out problem while crusing, saw a thread here that says a new TSB is released for this problem. Let us know how your fix goes, would like to know if this could become a TSB in the future, if clutch wasnt the problem.

hmmmmm......thanks for the 5th gear link, and no there isnt anything weird with the clutch it is just the gear. also sometimes first i have to fight with it to get it in the gearbox. today i couldnt even put the shifter into 5th. i am gonna bring her in tomorrow morning, so i will let yah guys know whats goin on. talk later

ok well heres the update: i took it to willis honda in burlington, and well they have had her since monday the 21, and it is now sunday the 27 and they said i should have her back on tuesday, well they had to give me an entire new 5th gear and updated my 4th. they said somthing about a shift fork and well they didnt really go into detail, they had to order a special tool or somthing all i know is that i am tired of this awful civic i want my s2000 back. and well i am not to happy with that dealership they always are a pain and never fix anything i have had the same seat belt problem for about 6 months now and i have brought it in 2 times and it hasnt been fixed and my maitnence required light has been on since summer they havent turned it off when they give me oil changes....so i will kepp yah guys updated when i know more......
