My S Smokes when getting on it?!?
OK, I actually have no oil consumption. I'm one of the lucky ones that dont have to add but 1/2 qt if any between oil changes. I will check the plugs, but it sounds like it is normal. Thanks again guys for all te replies
You should expect to see this black smoke discharge on pretty much any honda if you are close to swapping to your high rev cam position when you release your clutch.
I would expect the effect would be even more pronounced on the s2k due to the air flow and relativly high rpm, which stays higher due to the gear ratios.
The most I have seen this happen is on 5 speed preludes 98+, they tend to hit the high rpm cam very hard when your pushing the vehicle and you see a pronounce blast of black smoke which tends to leave flecks all over the rear bumper and trunk.
I would'nt worry about it at all, but it's always a good idea to have someone you trust drive your car while you pace it. I have always felt this lets you get a more intuitive feel for how the body weight shifts and allows for easier trouble shooting since you know all of its behaviors.

I'm an old Honda fan. I ran importsport.com back in the 90's when I first started to Modify my 96' accord. I also adopted the screen name Mugen back almost 8 years ago now, as a honda and F1 fan. Now with the huge surge of import popularity I seldomly get the screen name Mugen, so I default to importsport.
Anyhoo...
My current weekend car is a 98 Honda prelude type SH that I run in SCCA solocross. I run fairly stock to say in competitive classes. I will be getting a 2001 sk2 to replace it before the weather warms up. I decided to join the boards and see what knowledge about the s2k I could gain from you folks!
Thanks for the friendly welcome!

a penguin is driving throught the desert, and his car breaks down....he takes the car to a mechanic, and the mechanic says
"It might take me a while, so why dont you go across the street and get some food"
So the penguin does, and comes back about an hour later and the mechanic says
"looks like you blew a seal"
And the penguin replies
"Oh, no thats just ice cream" as he wipes his mouth!!!
LOL
Its normal by the way!
