Hmm, that's dissapointing. <scratching head> Do you have a baseline dyno?

Very strange, dj. Nothing but a K&N filter and a mugen exhaust on mine and I peaked at 197 hp. (See the chart on this thread:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...6066#post406066
Which was the highest of the four s2ks that were done by 1:30. Ryan said there were four more in the afternoon, but didn't give specifics about results.

Man, something is very wrong! I had mine dynoed with just a Spoon exhaust and got 202@wheels.

Hmmm...an interesting day. My stock S2000 peaked a little over 193, here's the chart:

When I was there in the morning they couldn't figure out the RPM/torque hookup. Here's the chart of the early 4 S2000s from the other thread (thanks again for sending it to me Cal):

Blue = Cal, K&N, Mugen cat-back exhaust (197)
Purple = Me, bone stock (baseline day) (193)
Green = James??? With an aftermarket air filter but otherwise stock (192)
Red = ??Forget his name - AEM CAI, Neuspeed v.2 cat-back exhaust (183)

Let's keep in mind too that environmental conditions and individual dyno calibrations can make a huge difference in measured output, so it's not really scientific to compare results from different dynos; that's why I had them overlay the 4 results.

It could be that the conditions that day on that dyno weren't favorable for CAIs, since your results Mike were similar to the other guy with a CAI earlier that day. Did they have your hood open or closed? Made a 20HP difference on a stock S2000 having it open. You might try taking it back to stock and re-running on the same dyno? If the HP goes up and your track times improve, ahem, well, that's something to take to the manufacturers I suppose?

In the next week or so I'll be heading back to the same dyno to test out the Amuse exhaust vs. no exhaust vs. stock, and one or two different air filters vs. no filter vs. stock. With the results of everyone else's mods though, I'll probably be happy if I end up with the stock numbers!

And as a useless side note, Jeff, the guy running the dyno, noticed the right exhaust on the S2000 was always a ton hotter than the left. After the drive home I checked it out with the infrared pyrometer, and sure enough, the right exhaust was about 50% hotter than the left, measured in a few different spots. Makes me not feel as bad about switching to a single...

jzr, will you be testing the "AMUSE R-1 Full Titanium exhaust" on the dyno? If you are, wow I can't wait to see that!
