I took mine out of the guide and let it rest on top... Thats my temporary solution.. Cleaning the leather with leather cleaner and the plastic with plastic cleaner worked for a day or 2.. The problem with having the seatbelt out of the guide is it's hard to get to sometimes.. lol

I only get it when I have a passenger. Its ****ing annoying. My S2000 seems to have a lot of sqeaks and rattles - I noticed it for the first time yesterday when I drove with the top in (first tim ein like 4 months - TAD).

Do the "felt mod" you won't hear any squeaks again. The squeaks were driving us crazy!

Assuming the squeak is from the seatbelt rubbing the top of the seat (like mine did - and it drove me crazy) go to a craft store and get a piece of felt with a sticky back. It costs about a buck. Cut a small square and stick it right where the belt rubs the seat. That should do the trick. After a while, the sticky gets "unsticky", and you can just replace it. One sq ft of felt should last you 100 years or so!.

The velcro strips worked like a charm. Try that.

I had the squeek and I cut a piece of felt and put it under the seat belt guide.

It works like a charm, I have black seats so I used black felt you don't notice it at all. Actuall I forgot about the squeek until I came across this thread.

The baby is stored for winter so I can't take any pics, sorry.

+1 for the Felt / furry velcro fix. One small "dot" on the leather where the seatbelt is rubbing (~1 inch forward of the plastic guide). You won't see it because it's under the seatbelt.

Remove the plastic seatbelt guide from the seat. Then, cut a piece of felt that you will place between the seat and the guide. Extend the felt long enough so that is rests between the belt and the edge of the seat. Bolt the guide back onto the seat with the screws piercing the felt. No more squeak. I used black felt on my blue seats. You cant even notice the felt. $0.99 in parts, 20 minutes of time.
I kind of like this idea just because it doesn't require any adhesives to the leather, which I would like to avoid at all costs. I'm going to pick up the supplies tomorrow and post a write up.
