I got 24k miles out of the original (S02) rears and about 22k out of the 2nd set of rears (S02). I am currently on my 3rd set of rears (S02) and fully expect to get at least 20k-25k again.
I like to run 36psi - 40psi all around and the fronts have lastly 50% longer then the rears ....

My '02 S02's have nearly 21k, rears at wear indicator, some left up front. Tire pressure 32-33 f/r. My unscientific observation is temperature / climate as a major factor. Owners in the south tend to get less miles than those in the north. Last winter was mild in NY and I put on over 9k commuting. (I'm dying this winter - can't take the baby out in snow or below 30 temp!) I noticed 30k lives in WA were it's temperate and the NW mist reduces friction (wear). My 2 cents.

My S-02's were gone at 8300, I am now on my second set of rears.
