ahh that makes sense... were these all one lane roads and the motorcycle moved into the oncoming traffic lane b/c the truck was turning too slowly? Who was at fault? Thats just terrible luck. I come to a "T" every day on my way home from work exactly how you described. I take a left and there are always cars slowing down to turn right on to the road I'm currently on. Usually people in my lane go as soon as they see the person is turning right. I'm waiting for the day that someone gets t-boned the same way it happened to you.

The biker dude did have the right away, the accident ended as a "No fault" incident.
As for the aftermath of the biker's body, I'll leave that one alone and let it clear my system.
Btw, Minnesota is a no fault state which means that both party will be at fault someway or somehow. That's unless you smack someone directly from behind, that'll be 100% your fault.

I'm glad to hear that you're ok. Yeah, intersections can be a tricky thing especially if you have your field of vision obstructed. It sounds like you did what you needed to do in safely turning. It sucks that the motorcyclist wasn't wearing a helmet. It still boggles me that it's not a law here in IL.
