Default MY04+ a mistake?

Starting to think an 03 would've been a wiser decision. I'm disappointed with the aftermarket, but don't see it improving since the F22 is a NA motor. No love from any of the major companies when it comes to mods other than a few bolt ons. But I guess my question is.. if people are running the Toda 2.2 stroker kit, they are obviously doing significant tuning... Can internals actually be used for the F20 with tuning? Sounds like the risks outweigh the rewards and F/I is the only option.

i'd say give it more time... i think the F22 is a great motor just like the F20, and eventually there will be more aftermarket parts for it.

Maybe you're right. It's just got me kind of down about the car lately. My hands are itching. But I thought Amuse was running the F22 in one (?) of their cars?

What mods are there for the F20 that don't work on the F22 that you would like to have?

Well, how about rekindle your love for S2000 by taking it to Auto X or HPDE events? You will look at your S2000 in whole different level of appreciation and respect.

I don't understand your disappointment. What do you expect to get out of a MY00-03 that you can't get out of MY04+?

Yeah pretty much all the parts are interchangeable from pre-'04 to '04-up. If you're coming from a b-series, i can understand why you feel that theres no aftermarket for your car.

So, wait... all the Toda parts for the F20 would work? I've just been seeing some strong built k20a2's lately and it's making me pretty jealous coming from a k-series. But I think it's mostly a case of stuck in the garage blues.
But for instance, cams and ITB (when they ever become available) for the F20 would work? I just foresee massive application issues. But I guess the problems could be solved with proper tuning. Just don't trust any shops around me to be the guinea pigs.

I don't mind some ECU changes and an internal build up.. I just mind going boom for something stupid.
