Default MY08 bumper marked for CR lip?

Has anyone installed the CR lip on their MY08 s2k? if so, does the stock ap2 bumper have marks as to where to drill for the 8 holes? I'm going to install the lip sometime in the future and I want to know what im getting into first. Thanks!

The factory non CR AP2 bumper does not have marks for you to drill the holes. There are quite a few CR lips installed on the factory bumper without having the need to drill holes. The side and underneath screws and bolts will hold just fine.

I don't know when, but Honda started marking their bumpers for the lip. I installed one a few months ago for a guy that bought a new ap2 bumper (non cr) and it had markings on the inside. They were little circles with a crosshair in it. They are difficult to see. I have heard that all ap2 bumpers have these markings (even before the cr came out). I personally have not verified this. Throw the car up, remove the front splash shield and see if you can see the markings.

If you plan on actually driving the car, drill the holes and use the bolts, if you are getting it to look cool in a parking lot with your stretched tires, you will be fine without them.

The 08/09 base front bumpers DO have "bulls eyes" on the backside for a CR lip. I have mounted a CR lip on both my 08 and 09.

You need to do some more research before posting.

And I would highly recommend drilling the holes. Without the bolts along the face of the bumper, the fitment would be poor (I have tried this).

Thanks for the informative response guys! I do plan on drilling the holes in my MY08 bumper with or without the markings. Now it'll just be easier!
