Upwards of 300whp could be possible on the S2000 engine, but it's going to take a lot of money to get there. You'll need higher compression, probably a 10,500rpm redline, standalone ECU, bolt ons, etc, etc.

what year is your S2000? if it's a 2000-2003 all you'll need is a different valvetrain/headwork to obtain 10,500rpm. If you have a 2004+, you'll need bottom end work done as well.
Who makes an upgraded valvetrain and what kind of headwork are we looking at to obtain this higher redline.....what about the bottom end??.....can it handle this?? Im assuming this will all involved the AEM EMS to tune it . Sorry for thread jacking but this really caught my eye

PS: has anyone done this mod to rev their f20c to that high?

Now i'm not questioning you or anything, but I thought the bottom end on the 00-03 was the same as the 04-05 bottom end (I read countless of those threads of people wanting to up the redline on their 04-05's and saw all those fancy pictures of the stuff behind it).

There are two that I know of.

One revs over 11,000rpm, but he rebuilds his engine just about every other month.

The other goes to around 10,500rpm reliably. I think he is also FI. (i want to say his member name is cjb80 or something like that) he actually stated that the ap1 can rev to this rpm with replacing some drivetrain parts. and in fact, it's rather inexpensive to do so.

It's the same parts yes. with the exception of the crankshaft, which is how they got the extra displacement. the rod angle is much greater on the F22 vs the F20, hence the reason the F22 had the redline decreased. I think their main concern was the piston acceleration/deceleration and side loading. An F22 spinning at 9000rpm is like an F20 spinning at 11,000rpm.

They have the same bottom ends but since the ap2 is stroked, higher rpms put more stress on the bottom end.

it's the rod angle caused by the change made to the crankshaft.

You actually articulate the reason better than I do in your previous post. I didn't see it when I posted.

I'm not sure how they do it, but the Spoon S2000 has 320 hp (at the wheels I assume) for the 2.0 liter n/a. The Mugen tuned one is supposed to have more. One problem with tuning n/a is the torque doesn't go up by much I think. The Spoon S2000 still has only about 160 ft-lb of torque.
