I actually like intrumental music for driving, music with words makes me think I can sing . I listen to Joe Satriani almost exclusively. Songs like "Back to Shalla-Bal" and "Crystal Planet" kill, I have a whole disc full of them...

Goostuffff...

Instrumental is great to drive to. Sound track to Gladiator is one that I love at the moment and Classical Gas (Tommy Emmanual version) is pretty cool.

There are two things that the ultimate driving soundtrack must include:

1. Sex on Wheels - My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult

2. Select tracks from the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack - Basil Poledouris

The Conan music just makes you want to go out and kill, destroy, rape, plunder, and drive really damn fast.

Any highbeat techno is usually my preference for spirited driving
