O.k. Dad is 66 years young. All of my uncles and cousins are gear heads for the most part. Me? Late bloomer. I was too busy killing terrorists before it came fashionable at the turn of the Millennium!! My family has a lot of experience with the domestic market cars and have done a fair bit of work on imports. Our first project with amy dad's Datsun 260Z which we rebuilt from bassically the ground up. My hand in that was pretty much as a gopher. Now that its my baby I am doing the planning and will get some real experience as to how everything is put together.

The 426 Max Wedge is going to make somewhere in the neighborhood of 525HP. Its a beast! But defnintely cheaper to build than the Honda. If you need any more information I will be happy to provide it. Thanks again everyone. My education starts here.

Can the F20 or the F22 be bored out? Could you bore an F20 to 2.2L and still keep the 9000rpm redline? The jump from F20 to F22 was done via a longer stroke and dropped the redline down by 1000 rpms. If you were to stroke it more would the rpms go down any further?

I'd guess that if honda could have gone to 2.2L without dropping the redline they would have. Unless they were concerned with warrenty pay-outs.

Anyone bored-out an F20 or F22?
