Default natural sound of the S2000 engine

take the top of your intake cover off and hear and feel a big difference in your s. it feels and sounds more aggressive and raw. i love it. and when V-TEC hits, COT DAYUMMMmmm that beast screams. i waist a lot of gas though, my cousin calls it a DUI, driving under the intake. HAHA juss a joke, plz no negitive replys. anyways, if you dont already know about this, give it a try, it should be any harm for the engine would it? but there is a "not so good" sound comming from the intake though. it sounds like a person blowing into an empty beer bottle, but constantly. its not too annoying where i wanna put the cover back on yet, soo its worth it for me. take care.

people have done this before. i actually did it like 3 weeks ago just to try it out for 15 minutes. it definately sounds nicer but i could feel the car getting slower and slower as i pulled more runs. it was obvious the air being sucked in was getting hotter and hotter since the filter was exposed to the engine bay. not worth it. if u like the noise, get the aem v2 intake(when it comes out), u'll get the nice sound plus some real gains.

pros: nice sound

cons: loss of HP, filter gets dirtier quicker

sounds great but looses HP....either the AEM v2 or the PRM will give you that sound, with some gains (minimal) to boot!

I loved the sound, but around town in traffic, I could feel this surge when taking off. Multiple people have noticed it before. I put the cover back on, I'm just gonna get a real intake, with no drivability issues.
