Was on my way to work this morning, being holliday season freeway was pretty smooth. Was able to do about 75mph, usually its bumper to bumper. Anyways, I notice the car in front of me slowin down and kind of swerving in the lane. All of a sudden his rear wheel came flyin off his car and started boucin' towards my S.

A few years ago, I saw something even more bizarre on Route 128 [high speed beltway in the Boston area]. Fellow a little distance in front of me was driving a seedy old Oldsmobile or Buick. All of a sudden he came to an extremely rapid stop from about 60 mph in the middle lane, with rear end scraping on the ground. At the same time, left rear tire with half a rear axle attached to it went careening down the road, luckily missing several cars. It finally came to rest on the grassy area alongside the breakdown lane, probably about half a mile further down the road. As I drove past the stopped car, I could see the look of sheer amazement on the driver's face.

Is this really necessary? I know this is off topic but.... I, along with many other people that frequent this site do not need to be guilted into becoming members. I will support this site by buying products from its sponsors. Until membership offers me something that I feel that I need beyond the standard services I will not pay for a membership.
