Need advice
I just recently wrecked my s2000, slide off the highway off ramp while it was raining and came to a stop back into a tree. My s2000 is leased. This is my first time leasing so I don
Report it to your insurance company, and they will tell you what to do. Leasing deals make you tack on full coverage insurance for this reason.
Sorry to hear your mishap, thankfully you are safe!

Accidents happen and thankfully you're ok. I agree with TrueDrezzer, just report it to your insurance co. The dealer has to take it back as long as it's fixed, but has to disclose to either the new buyer or wholesaler that it has been in an accident. That's the way it is in Florida, but I don't know about the laws in other states.
I am glad to hear that you are here (healthly) to have such worries.
A lease is just another type of loan. The dealer does not own the car, the finance company does. You have to report it to your insurance company only, not the dealer or finance company. When you return the car to the dealer at the end of the lease, the finance company will have to car picked up by a local wholesaler. It will then be auctioned off.
As for parts, yes they are imported from Japan. They is a small amount of parts stocked in the US. But they do ship them in via air when order are placed for parts not located in US.
On the repair, insist on OEM parts new for the repair.
Good luck and glad to hear you are fine.
