Default need advice about a shop's work..

hey guys,
well i bought a set of eibach springs and was planning on doing the work myself, but with my work schedule i was only home for about a week before heading back to san diego. so i decided to just take my S to a local (very reputable) body/repair shop to have them put the springs on for me.

i figured it would be a fairly easy job and not too expensive. so they had my car for 2 days and gave me a call to come get it because it was done. so i came to get my car, paid the bill ($175, not too bad), then went out to get my car. they told me they took it out for a test drive and everything seemed fine (no rubbing, etc).

i got in and drove it home, about 1.5 miles away, and rubbed hard on the only two bumps in the road on the way home. it was only rubbing on the right side. so at home i checked it out, and the car was sitting crooked.

the LR seemed at perfect height
the LF was okay (still seemed lower than expected)
the RR was almost sitting on the tire(i couldnt even get a finger inbetween the fender and tire)
the RF was about a .25 inch lower than the LF.

so i carefully drove the car back to the shop and told them about it and gave them the number for eibach to talk to the tech. it could either be 3 things wrong: my '02 with 25K on it, the springs, or the actual work. i checked the springs and the were all installed correctly as far as serial number, but eibach says they could have been loaded wrong.

so now what? haha have them try to fix it (whatever it is) or put the stock springs back on and after already paying for the work one time, is that all i should have to pay? (even if they do put the stock springs back on)

any one else have this kinda trouble with the eibach springs?

my set up...
front: 18x8 +45 :: 225/40/18
rear: 18x9 +52 :: 255/35/18

even with them installed correctly, with eibach's 1 inch drop and not rolling the fenders, would that be possible? (doesnt rub at stock height)

thanks for any help...

It doesn't sound right but to be sure you should wait about a week for the springs to settle. This way you can know how it stands as it usually takes about that time to properly settle. If you know already it is not right, than best to go back to the stock springs.

Ya I agree their still going to settle and drop even lower. They may even out but they should drop a bit more.

don't coilovers have springs on them?
i don't see why bad springs would be a reason to spend so much more money.

well your offsets are good and a 1 inch drop should barely rub if at all with the rubber your running so it has to be a bad set of springs or did they put the front springs on the rear and vice versa?

Im running almost the same offsets and identical tire sizes as did the guy who i got my wheels from. He was lowered and said he only rubbed and that was by a smidgen when he autocrossed and it was only the front that rubbed.

he is a pic of my car at stock height you can see there is plenty of room to lower an inch

I am sorry, but I would not let a body shop do a spring install. Most times they have no idea about suspension parts, especially aftermarket parts. I would look at the springs and see if they are installed in the correct spots. Sounds like something is not done correctly.

the worst part is that you can't really get too mad at the shop cause they are your parts. now if they were the shops parts you could give them hell, but as it stands i don't see where you can get much out of them, unless they are nice.
