Need advice on buying used S2k
Hi guys, newbie here so be gentle
I've been on the prowl for an S2000 for a while now and found one. It's a 2006 with 11,400 miles on it. It's Honda Certified and I got the dealer down to $25687 which is close to wholesale.. The only issue is that it looks as if the previous owner used a bra on the front and the fascia (I think it's the plastic nose part of the car) has what appears to be almost an orange peel texture to it in some places. Does this detract from the value of the asking price?
Thanks in advance.

I sell Hondas for a living. Seems like you are getting a decent deal. One thing is sure. If the car is certified from a Honda dealer, it cannot be a previously wrecked vehicle or been repainted. You should get all the books and the 2 remotes, 2 master keys and the valet key. Just keep in mind. If you are able to buff the orange texture out than its ok. But if you buy it and get it repainted on the hood or the bumber, your cars resale value will be down the drain. As when a dealer looks at a car. First thing they look at if its been repainted. You could have got the car repainted just for chips and stuff, but to them its a possible previously wrecked car.

[QUOTE=__redruM,May 26 2007, 07:54 AM]For another 5K you could get a new car.
I did it, I'm in the club, I drank the koolaid etc. etc.
WOOOHOO!
Just drove it home tonight. Here's a pic:

This thing handles like it's on rails. Driving it is almost as good as having sex
Well, not quite but pretty close.
I got the bumper to bumper warranty for $1200 which takes my warranty to 100k miles or out to 2013. I'm in heaven.
