Default Need advice - looking to buy a used, cheap S

Because of my budget (under $17K), the cars around all have higher miles, 50K and up plus 2002 or older. Should the clutch have been changed on these higher mileage cars by now? What else should I be looking out for besides evidence of collision repair, salvage title, etc. Thanks. I hope to meet some of you sometime in my S.

If the car is still on the factory clutch that would be a good thing showing the car was not driven hard much. Some will be on the original clutch, others will be on their 5th; all depends how the owner(s) drove it.
