Need Help with Allignment problem
Hi everyone, I was running an AutoX today and i spun out and went over some bumpstops sideways. After the spin the steering wheel was off so I assumed the alignment was shot.
I took it to a local alignment place that was open today, they tried to align it and here are the specs they got:
FRONT:
Caster:
Left 5.6
Right5.8
Camber:
Left -0.5
Right -0.6
Toe:
Left 0.00
Right 0.00
REAR:
Camber:
Left 0.5
Right -1.4
Toe
Left 0.5
Right 0.5
Total 1.00
So basically, two things were not going back to speck:
1: The front left caster is supposed to be 5.8-6.3 and it is 5.6
2: The rear left camber is supposed to be -1.7-1.3 and it is +0.5
For the rear left camber problem, I am guessing a suspension arm was bent, maybe it was even bent from before, I am not sure, I hope replacing it will solve the problem.
For the front left caster problem, I have no idea.
Anyone ?????
I appreciate any help.
Thank you.
Simard.

Take it to the dealer and say you had taken it into a tire shop for a flat... they measured the camber and noticed it wasn't aligned but since you had a warranty, you decided to take it to them instead.

I wonder how that would work, if the suspension arm was bent all by itself, maybe due to manufacturing flaws, would the dealer warranty it?
I have never thought about this.
You should take it to the dealer and make them align it, it could also be that your shop didn't know how to align the car properly, if something is bent though, it comes back to the question above, how does the dealer determine if the damage was a bad suspension arm or was damaged by you? Bumper to bumper warranty is technically supposed to cover everything except wear items...
