Default Need help ASAP

Hey guys i just bought my 2006 S2K friday night (May 15th) and today it got a little dirty so i decided to take it through a touchless car wash...well apparently when the water started to spray for the rinsing...the water started leaking right into the cabin from both windows. Now is this normal if you take it to the car wash or is there something really wrong with this. The top was up properly and locked and the windows were all up. I just bought it used with 27K on it. The leak started near the front of the window but continued all the way back on both windows. I am not talking about just drips of water but almost like running a faucet very slowly. Please reply ASAP and let me know what i can do...is there any kind of warranty for this from the date of first sale and also if i go to the dealer will they take care of this since I only had the car for barely 2 days??? Please reply ASAP...Im freaking out!!!

This may get ugly as you are going to win negative points for doing something so careless as taking your S2000 into ANY car wash...

May I suggest.....

Wash and Wax Forum

... for the duration of your ownership.

Are your seals still leaking or did they just do it while in the .... :cringe: touchless car wash?

I seem to recall reading in the owners manual to NOT take the car through those types of car washes.

Right. You can use one of those 'wand' u-wash-it places if you aren't concerned about the effect on your paint. Just stay away from the top/window interface except with low pressure. (The really anal guys in the wash-n-wax forum would faint at this suggestion but if your finish isn't in great shape to start with or if you have something like silverstone that doesn't show swirl and you aren't anal about your finish...go for it.)

Try using the silicone grease recommended for the rubber around the window. It needs to be applied once in a while and helps by swelling and softening the rubber.

Sometimes when I wash by hand, there is a trail of water on the inside of my window from where some water seeped through. Doesn't really bother me though. It's part of having the car.
