However, they are not selling a $5 can for $30!!! It is a different type of paint.
It is a 2 part epoxy paint along with a can of cleaner to use to remove
the dust and dirt from the caliper. Anybody that knows anything about paint
will tell you that a 2 part epoxy system is much better that regular paint.
You "might" get a similar result with the $5 can but, for me, I only wanted
to do this ONE time and was willing to spend a bit more to make sure I
got the result I wanted.
No worries!! I think it's great the we have a few options for caliper paint.
pep boys, five dollar can of 900 degree caliper paint. It has been 5 months since i painted them...haven't retouched them once. I used about 6 good light coats with an inductrial strength heat gun to make it nice and glossy...
