well, when i had the 3" headerback system there was a little less in the low end, but mid and top were improved. if you are going to do a system like this DD'ing is difficult.

as for a transition, Burn's Stainless has them $30 plus tax and shipping. http://www.burnsstainless.com/Transi...ansitions.html
you can also take a look at those mufflers i mentioned. you will also need a exhaust flange, $17 for a BLOX flange from JHPUSA.com and they have the 2.5" donut gasket. also, and an O2 bung, Burn's has some really nice ones too.

i do agree with 2.75 being optimum as far as versatility is concerned, but nobody commercially sells that diameter. i looked for hours online for anyone who had that size. its gonna be either 2.5" or 3".

what do you guys think about a custom single that comes out to the left (driver side)? think it would be more straighter than coming out the normal right side?

Ok I'm a bit confused as to what the OP actually wants...

First you were talking about a single of either 2.75" or 3". If a stock exhaust with aftermarket mufflers is too loud for you, then you do NOT want either of these.

My suggestion is that you are on the right track sticking with the stock piping and switching your mufflers to magnaflows. That will give you a mellow slightly louder than stock exhaust for a decent price.

have you tried kteller.com?

they sell lots of different sized piping with mandrel bends. i've bought from them before and never had any problems. they may have what you need.

Havent tried them, will take a look at the site..

The place which had manderel bends did advise me that just for the pipe, it would be 250 if I were to bring the resonator and muffler.

The other shop, with crush bends, would be 100 for the pipe. If crush bends does limit the size of the piping, and I were to get 3 inch, and when crushed lets say in those small areas it becomes 2.85 to 2.75 inch, would it make that big of a difference compared to you having lets say a stock exhaust with 2.25 piping and with a crush bend making it 2 inch which is obviously too small. Does this make sense..
