Default Need help finding noise from passanger/back

When I go over bumps.. I can hear a noise.. like a very small "clunk" almost as if the top was hitting (slightly).. I don't know where its coming from, but it sounds like its behind the passanger seat (or door?? But I don't think so). I zip-tied down the top so as to make sure it wasn't bouncing... and the trunk spare is tied down. Any ideas? Its not "bad", but I notice it.

Often a loose spare tire.

check if it's the assenger seatbelt. I was having weird sound and then realized it was the passenger seatbelt hitting the side when I didn't have a passenger. I've seen a few people attach their passenger seatblet even though they didn't have a passenger just to get rid of the rattle...

otherwise, good luck!

I've been meditating on that sound for quite a while. I think it may be from some part of the seat belt retractor/lock-up mechanism.

You might check the little horizontal tension springs near the top of the trunk to see if they are perhaps the culprit. I overloaded my trunk one time, and these rods got bent a little and began to rattle. After I bent them around a bit, the noise went away. I don't know if this is your problem or not, but it's worth a try.

I would say spare tire, or I have a clunking noise sometimes in the passanger side door when going over severe bumps..I think it is the metal rod that connects the interior locking mechanism to the lock were the door opens. I have tried to put padding around it and it just stopped after several unsuccessful attempts, so go figure....
