Default Need help finding a shift knob for S2000

Does anybody know of any titanium shift knobs for our S2000's that look like the one I had on my 350Z? I liked the way it felt and with the S2000's short throw I know i'd really like it - - thanks

There's a honda factory titanium shift knob. Looks the same as stock except made out of titanium.

Have you seen the Voodoo knob in titanium? Rick's had a limited edition group buy going just 2 weeks ago. There might be one still available. That knob in aluminum is VERY popular with the S2K crowd.

Well, it's probably not the finish/shape you're looking for, but I love my Spoon Ti knob. It's hollow titanium with a burnt finish on the very tip-top (with no gear numbers written on it) and of course countersunk. It weighs something along the lines of 17.5 grams, whereas the stock aluminum and leather one is maybe 200ish grams. It transfers the feel of the transmission much better than the stock aluminum (less mass at the end of the shifter to move [F = ma from classic physics])

Why would I want a titanium knob?

Thanks,
Richard

Why don't you see if a 350z knob will fit the S, I am sure it would be easy to modify if it does not.

The knob went with the car when I sold it - - not sure if the threads are the same between the two - - and if it didn't say NISMO on it, I might consider buying another one. It wasn't too long, some of the ones I've seen online for the S2000 look way to big.

The OEM know is OK, it's not a big deal, just looking to see what's out there.

Thanks,
Steve

Nope.

350z's, like most Nissans, are 10x1.25mm.

Honda's are 10x1.5mm.
