Default Need Help....headlights related...

I have a quick question about some headlights, Someone wrecked my ap1 s2000, I used to have the JDM ap1 headlights, well my insurance is willing to pay aftermarket headlights, these headlights are expensive and they approved up to 2,000 dollars for my headlights, in which I thought it was great. Well I have been looking for a pair of these headlights and I cannot find them in stock anywhere, my car is at the shop and they need some headlights ASAP…

(They have to be brand new, if you guys know anyplace I can buy those headlights brand new I will appreciated)

my question is, they are willing to buy other headlights, since I have a 2,000 dollar max for some headlights, what would you recommend, I like clean looks, it cannot be nothing custom (ap2 headlights with yada yada) since insurance is paying for it, I need something that you can go to some website and buy it straight forward, it needs to be plug and play to my ap1…

Thanks

I'd guess its around 950-$1k for a new one with everything from that website with bulb etc.
So I guess you need both, these should fit your budget or come in close, maybe buy after market bulbs? Good luck, maybe others can chime in. Dang headlights are expensive!

There is nothing aftermarket available for S2000 headlights that is better than stock...period.

Honda spent big money to have Stanley develop the S2000 HID projector and that projector is consistently ranked in the top 3 of all HID projectors in the world in performance.

Any mass produced aftermarket headlight will be a downgrade in performance over the OEM Honda S2000 lamps. If you don't believe me do some research on "S2000 projectors". You will find that they are some of the most sought after OEM lamps in the world because of their remarkable performance and no other lamp in the world uses the same projector unit.

JDM projector headlights will have the wrong beam pattern for US roads because they are meant for RHD vehicles. The cutoff shield is opposite from USDM projectors and will actually scatter light into oncoming traffic which can be very dangerous. Stick with stock USDM S2000 headlights like others have suggested, you can't get any better than that.

I highly doubt the cutoff "looks as good as OEM" like they said. Most cheap Ebay lights glare like crazy.
