or just pay 16k for a new Civic SI??? (the dealers are definitely willing to work with you). I guess it depends what you want/need.

I never knew you could use the name Corolla and the phrase good pep in the same sentence...

After owning a modded RX-7, I would think a Corolla would be very, well, uninspiring - despite the fact that Toyota says otherwise.

Okay okay..maybe not good pep but...some slight push-in-the-back???? Yeah, the RX-7 really nulls every car I drive. The funny thing is when I went single turbo I said I would not do anything else???? Well, I have a hankering to do some more mods... I don't understand, I just want to go faster and faster....I hope my wife will understand...

The Corolla is just something I need to take the place of my beater <<It was going to be a project car but I have no time and I have lost interest since I NOW want to continue to mod the RX-7 and START modding the S2000>> ..something reliable, good fuel consumption and somthing that looks OKAY and CHEAP....

Hey if anyone is looking for a 1984 Datsun 200SX <<project car (i.e. drift car or drag car), or just daily run-about>>...PM me....maybe we can make a deal....

if you haven't already set your mind on a corolla, have you considered the sentra se-r? i'm not sure on their pricing, but i would imagine it wouldn't but that much more expensive than a civic lx 4-dr. they're rather peppy, handle great; though they're not exactly lookers, what with that droopy butt and all.
also, what about the protege? if you pulled up at the mazda dealership in your rx-7, i'm sure you could whittle the price down little by little, not to mention any discount for brand loyalty...

GREAT points. But, the wife does not like sentra SE-R and the interior is kinda small AND worst of all is the gas milage and it requires premium fuel...

The Protege is large enough but I really don't care that much for its looks and its gas comsumption is not that good...but it is a good alternative I'll check it out. Any other choices I may be over-looking?
