Default need help with speedometer. gray dot now showing

hey guys and girls, im not sure if this is where this post belongs but i have a question. Today while i was driving back to school I noticed that right inbetween the fuel gauge and the trip odometer a little gray dot popped up about the same size around as a pencil eraser. Can anyone tell me what this is?? my owners manual makes no mention of it.

I have a 2004 s2k btw.

I have pictures but dont know how to load them ill try to figure that out.

That would be the winky light for the alarm. It has been there since the car was built. You just never noticed it.

I know what your talking about. I don't know what it is either. When I notice the gray dot, its because the sun in entering the side glass and it makes the dot appear that its lit. I'm sure its an indicator of some function and would be lit with a color if activated. I don't want to do any research to discover what this is and will patiently wait for someone to tell me(us).

Does any know how I can wire that light up?

Basically I want to connect something to the LED without using the stock alarm. Thanks
