Read the manual. It takes less than 2 minutes to figure it out.

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to the community to answer his question, if the answer is readily available?

No it would not be BENEFICIAL just to answer his post. Read the manual! Amazing what insight can be had for drivers who actually take the time to peruse this document that holds SO FREAKIN MUCH information on a car that they proclaim to love so much!!!

Off my soap box now and going to bed....

No, it wouldn't. It's for the poster's best interests that we "nudge" him/her to read the manual. Heck, I'm even the one who composed a complete thread on how to turn this light off and what the light actually means. It's been put into the FAQs for those people who may, for whatever reason, didn't get an owner's manual or hasn't found it yet.
Even though I wrote that thread, I don't know the sequence off the top of my head. I would have to either go to my owner's manual or that thread and double check. Why should any of us go to that effort to do something just because the OP is too lazy to do?
He/she may learn some real interesting things about the car that might save it from damage. Imagine coming back in a few months to ask why the rear diff broke because a rear tire went flat and the spare was put on the back. Yes, the OWNER'S MANUAL tells you why you don't put a spare tire on the back and why the rear diff will break if you do.
I've spent the last 5 years on this board helping and advising people on how to fix their cars and what might be wrong with it. Wouldn't it have been far better if the car never broke in the first place because of information gleaned from the owner's manual?

One of my friends bought an 04 S2000 and when he looked at my keys said " I didn't get those". I asked if had looked at his owners manual to see if in fact the dealer owed him anything. The dealer also changed out the stock wheels for HRE painted blue but gave him no credit for the trade....

something like you turn the key to acc and then press and hold one or both of the buttons on the left of the gauge cluster(I think its the trip reset button), turn the key off and then back on while still holding the button, it will go off. You might have to have the drivers door open.

Funny story about the owners manual.... When I bought my first S used I didn't think i even got a manual, wasn't important to me. Then like 2 months went by and I saw in a magazine how someone put their CD changer in that top compartment, I ran outside and was amazed that there was a bunch of stuff in there, manual, keylocks, receipts for service. So yeah, take the time to fully learn your car, you will be glad.
