Default Need New Struts.. What kind?

Well I took my car to get my tires changed and the mechanic told me that i have blown 3 out of my 4 shock struts. he said that they were after market and to get them replaced by honda would cost be about $1000.00. I have a 2000 S2000. Anyone know if the honda ones are worth the price or should I get aftermarket ones? Can I get them for cheaper from anywhere? I have tein springs in the front and rear right now as well. Any help would be much appreciated. I do not check the forums too often so I can be emailed at "chi.patel@gmail.com" as well.

Thank you in advance.

I'm dropped on stock shocks and the ride's been getting rough the past few months. Other that full coilover setups, I think a lot of guys are running Koni Yellows.

I have been reading a lot about Koni and Mugen and Comptech shock systems. Anyone have any information in regards to there? Also been reading about Tein and Eibacha and Comptech springs. My car is VERY rough on the highway right now and I think it is due to the blown shocks. What is a good setup that wont put a dent in my wallet, will give me a nice street drive and will last? Any help would be appeciated.

Chirag

P.S. I was looking at a CompTech shock/spring setup earlier.

most/all "good" setups will set you back some, but it depends on how big your wallet is.
I know a good Tanabe, or Tein street kit will set you back 1,800$CAN so approx 1,500$USD

How does a Comptech shock/spring set compare with a Koni shock/Tein spring combo? I already have Tein springs and would like to use them rather than buying brand new springs.
