Default need opinions, how much is this ap1 really worth?

was interested in getting this ap1 but guy wants 15,900 for it im going to be checking it out on friday because he's only 10 miles away from me.

for sale s2000 in ohio

checked the KBB good condition at 47k miles on good condition it was at 14600.
so i ran a car fax and this is what came up.... 13 records with 1 minor accident.

A CARFAX Vehicle History Report is based only on information supplied to CARFAX. CARFAX checked over 4 billion vehicle history events and found 13 record(s) for this 2000 HONDA S2000 (JHMAP1143YT003202).

I'd say its not worth $15,900 because:

1.) It is MY2000
2.) It has been in an accident
3.) The seller's description doesn't mention that accident that turns up on Carfax, which leads me to believe he is trying to hide something
4.)It has 57,000 miles
5.)It's Sebring

Personally, I'd probably be offering only in the $12-$13.5 range.

Good luck on the sale, I doubt you'll get it for $12k, but you never know.

Ok, I do not believe you should get that car for that price. It should be a few thousand lower. I actually did a KBB check for you and this is what I came out for a private seller:

Now that doesnt even include the accidents it has been, thats why I say it should still be less than that. And I agree he is trying to hide something since he didnt even mention it. Look for another one in my opinion. Good luck.

the one on the top is out of the question for that reason. you are absolutely right with that. i had talked to the guy on the phone, to see if he was actually honest and he did not tell me anything about the damage when i asked, that just told me something. I have also posted it on most of the local toledo forums so he's pretty much pwned.

didn't know if i should of started a new thread or not for the reason that i am seeing which ones are worth it.

how about the suzuka blue one that i have just posted 2 above you?

I think door number 2 is a much better choice than door number 1. The car's history is much cleaner for the MY02, which to me is critical. Even though you will be paying a few thou more, I think it will be worth it in the long run. I just picked up a MY02 w/38k miles for $17k so the dealership's pricing looks to be competitive. Good luck.

Definitely, the second one is a really good deal no doubt. You might want to check out the "small ding" they claim it has. It sounds pretty trustworthy the fact they even mentioned it, but might be totally different once you start driving. Good luck with it.
