Default need opionion.. get 03 now or wait..?

I put down a deposit for 03 about 3 months ago so I could get it around NOW but my work got me all twisted recently.. Since I'm in a military, all these stuff been going on recently got us all busy.. I was suppose to go on 6 months deployment around march-april but now they're saying dec or jan... My plan was to get it now and drive it around for couple months and store it but with all these busy schedule, I'm getting 2nd thoughts. should I buy it now and ride it and be happy or get it around sept next year and be happy then? If I get it now, I have to worry about it while I'm gone and ect... but if I don't get it now, what if when I come back and there's no more s2ks.."just a thought" ?? heck, I don't know..

Being in the Military in the past when the whole 1st IRAQ conflict (Dessert Storm and Dessert Shield) took place, I would suggest that you wait to buy it. Why?

1) Why store it for 6 or more months?
2) With all the S@%t that is going on, you can be deploy ANYTIME!!!!
3) '03 just came out (let the smoke settle and see if ppl are running into anymore "TSB" problems, which I hope NOT !!!)
4) Hey, worst off if you have to buy next year and "No More S" are being produced there will always be a used one. Just a thought.
5) Lastly, you have enough to worry about if your "Deployed". No need to add to it, by thinking about your S and other personal things.

Just my .02 cents.

Good Luck in either direction !!!!

You may get a better price if you can hold off until next spring. From now until the end of the year is the major mark up period.

I say get a used 02, unless you want silverstone, or white with tan. You could possibly save $4000-$5000.

I have a bit of military experience (21 years, AD Air Force), and I totally understand the circumstances you are experiencing. I too recommend you wait to see what the situations brings with the possibility of deployment, and if you haven't already, set up a hefty allotment, to build up a sizeable down payment. (From what I gather, there is a possibility the S2k will get a makeover for 2005 (saw that somewhere on the forum). In the meantime, Saddam might commit suicide or something, then I would head for the Honda shop. (Take a look in the library for an MSRP dealership. This forum pointed me straight to the dealership who didn't jack up prices to (some) over $5,000). Good luck...

Yeah you guys are probably right... I should wait because if I get it now, I'll have 2 cars to worry about while deployed.. I got downpayment ready right now, I'm thinking about putting down 20g's and pay around 300ish per month but maybe i can save up around 8g's on deployment and get all the goodies when I purchese the car next year..hehe Also I want to get a NEW car, I'm don't want a 2nd hand car because I like cars that I drive off the lot with less then 10miles on it..(that's just me) btw, this thing with saddam sucks major ass. I mean come on.. we just came back from deployment on Jan this YEAR and we're leaving again!!!! I'm telling you, if i was married, I'll probably got kicked out of the house by now....

Thanks for your comment,, Eventhough it sucks to be out 1/2 year and working long hours everyday but it feels good that we're helping out this great nation...
