Need to replace seal above windshield. Advice?
Just got my s2000 back from it's dealer tune-up. I also requested that they replace the rubber seal that rests on top of the windshield area (does this thing have a name?). The seal is rotting away and needs to be replaced. Again, this is the seal that rests between the windshield and the soft top when the top is down and locked in.
I was told that the dealer couldn't replace it because they didn't have some sort of "special tool" that they required to install this seal. That seems odd to me. It looks like you can simply pull off the old seal and slap on a new seal.
Is replacing the seal as easy and I described it, or is there some sort of trick to this install? Should I use some sort of glue or sealant when I replace the seal? The replacement seal is currently in the garage waiting to be installed. Thought I'd check in with you guys to see if you had any advice before I rush into this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
