Default Need Some Advice

I need a car, want an s2k found on at a lexus dealer, its an 2002 with 53000 miles and looks good, runs great, drives awsome , they want 16,991 but it is below NADA and KBB so not too bad, i was thinking of walking in with a check for 15k, but what do you guys think about it? any advice is appreicated.

walk in with a check and ask for a fat almost low-ball discount. tell them you'll pay right now and get a fat discount

Give it a shot! You have nothing to lose, worst that could happen is they say no. At which time you say K, THANX! and proceed to walk away. With the economy the way it is alot of dealerships are desperate and hate to see a deal walking out the door. There is a good chance they will stop you before you get off the lot.

You might want to try this toward the end of a month when they are even more desperate to get the monthly number up.

Yea id like to wait till the end of the month but i rolled my car last week so i kinda need a car, but good point with the economy, would explain the sales people jumping at me, so think they would go for the 15k or should i lowball even more and settle at 15k?
