Need Some Advice
No offense to anyone, but I don't think Suzuka blue/blue interior is a desirable color for average perspective buyers. My advice is to also negotiate from that angle. I would aim even lower than 14k if you are living in a state that is known for cold winters.
You're right, it's not. Neither is the tan interior or the blue top or even the two tone interiors.
You could try to angle it but from the dealership perspective, the S2000 isn't exactly a rare find.

So the S2k passed the dealers highly talked about inspection, but failed my mechanics, it drove great, but after he looked at it for 5 mins noticed that that there 100+ point inspection didnt notice that the spare tire was flat, which isnt to big of a deal easy fix now but wouldnt be on the side of the road, i was told by the dealer all fluids were checked and flushed, which is good to know but it was bone dry on windsheid wiper fluid, again simple thing, but as he checked the master cylinder he noticed it was really, really low. It was leaking at the clutch pedal. so the car kinda flunked at 15 point inspection, first two things are not big deals but being sold a car that you were told had been inspected and wouldnt be on the lot if it wasnt in perfect condition and the having troubles couple miles later kinda sucks. so now what to do, i was offered the car as-is at a discounted price, 14k but is it worth my troubles?
Their 100 point inspection is taking the trade, washing it, sticking it on the lot.
Sounds like that supermodel is acutally a pig with lipstick.
See for me, it is worth it to pay more and have a car that you know has been babied and taken care of, it's not always about how cheap you can get one. They may have taken this on trade at 10k by telling the owner it needed a bunch of work. The dealer sticks it on the lot not having anything done to it. He expects someone like you to come in, haggle a few thousand off and feel like you got one over on the dealer. People will overlook problems if they feel they are "stealing" it.
