Default need some d-d input

My s2000 have 105,000 miles on it. I've only had it for about 3,000 of those miles. The clutch has been replaced at 95,000 miles and other then that idk. I'm driving back and forth to school everyday quick is a 56 mile round trip. Thats about 16,000 miles I'll put on it within the next 9 month (the school year). Do I need to start putting back for repairs or do you think I'll be ok? 50 miles of it is all interstate.

any other maintance I should do? I searched for a maintance schedule but couldn't find one.

You should change the differential fluid. It needs changed a lot more often than you would think and there is a chance it's never been done if the previous owner wasn't good about maintaining the car before something broke.

save up for tires, you'll need them. Oil changes too. (obviously)

If you're unsure of other maintance done prior, I'd check/change the fluids as well.

i got it off a dealers lot two days after the pervious owners traded it in. they changed the oil but I've but about 3,000 miles on it since I've had it. Sould I change the trans fluid (redline MT90), diff (redline 75w90), and power steering fluid? what else?

I'm changing the air filter soon also, Its dirty. My cuz is a honda mic. and listened to the motor and said it sounded like the valves have been adjusted recently. I would like to get on a dyno soon and see what it makes and also check my compression.

what air filter do you recomend. I race autocross so I can't get a cai one.

Change the oil, differential oil, and transmission oil and then start your personal log from there. You'll know that the fluid is fresh and won't be guessing on when to change them next. Other than that... save up for tires and save up wherever else you can for those repairs that pop up unexpectedly.

The stock air filter is about as close to a true CAI of any OE filter system made. It uses a paper cone filter and a channel that draws cool air directly into the airbox from outside the engine bay.

You will seriously go through rear tires every 10,000 miles if you're driving the car the way it's intended. If you autoX you will want to use a second set of rims for those tires as several autoX's is enough to kill a set of street tires and driving on bald tires in rain or cold weather in the S2000 is NOT fun.

You can get a K&N drop in filter as that's more breathable than stock and you can just wash it the next time it gets dirty.

For your MT fluid, go with the Honda stuff--MT90 is way to thick for this car.

Create an account on Honda's website and register your VIN.
https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?pag...2Fprod_home.asp
It'll tell you the proper maintenance items and intervals, plus any recalls that need to be done.

Change the diff and transmission fluids (I don't recall the interval for future changes though, sorry.) Oil is every 3750 miles, Honda recommends.
Have the valve clearances and brake pad thickness checked, as well as all fluid levels. Brake and clutch bleeds are probably good ideas too.

With mostly highway miles, depending on the tire you get you can expect upwards of 15k to 20k miles per set.

Older S2000's aren't known for any particular reliability issues that I know of, beyond driver-induced issues like lake of maintenance, over-revs, etc.

I put around 780 miles a week on my car. You'll be fine.
