The MY00 and MY01 cars are very similar, but in MY02 they added a glass rear window with a defroster, as well as two additional speakers mounted in the upper door panels (tweeters). They also put Faux aluminum/titanium trim on most of the round bezels inside and outside (headlights, taillights, new speaker housings, etc.)Overall i'd say you should opt for the MY 02, because of the extra maintanence required to keep the window looking nice in the earlier models....but at the same time i don't like it with all of the faux trim around the bezels; looks too busy, to me. In any case, you can't really go wrong with any model year if you find one in good condition that's been paid some attention and maintained. It's a Honda, like the old adage goes. Good luck with your purchase, and welcome aboard!

Ok. You will probably want to purchase either an 02 or 03. The 00 and 01 don't have a glass rear window as well as some other little differences that you probably won't care to understand or worry about.

There aren't really any options on the car, but stay away from side strakes. They fall off.

Other than that, just make sure that the car wasn't wrecked or had any paint work. And make sure that the spark plugs have been replaced as well.

That's the major stuff.

There were also transmission revisions between 01 and 02. So the '02-'03 cars will not grind the tranny like the '00-'01 cars. There was also a change to the ECU for '02 which has reportedly upped the HP. This has never been officially confirmed, but I have seen some dyno results that SUGGEST it may be true. (They DID change the ECU, the part numbers are different.) Also the stereo (if you care) is slightly more powerful in '02+ cars, and it includes a clock. The Center console also comes covered in vinal instead of carpet in '02+

Also mid-year in '02 Honda changed the design of the oil jet bolts. This is something that is relatively easy to swap out if you are comfortable taking off the oil pan. Searching for "oil jet bolt" should yield the VIN number where the change was made.

One more thing: Please, please, please use a DESCRIPTIVE title in your posts. You will get a better, more accurate response if you state the title completely.
