Default need your help getting s2000's of ebay and other ?'s

well ive given this alot of thought and i'm gonna try and get a '00 s2000. but there is none where i live and been searching ebay and found some good used ones with under 32,xxx miles for 22-23k. now would it be wise to get an s2000 off ebay? i know i should run the vin #, and see if theres been any body repairs or mechanical repairs. i'm gonna try and sell my integra gsr and i got $7,500 saved up for a downpayment also. would it be wise to own in s2000 as your daily driver (it would be my ONLY car) knowing honda i take it the s2000 should last along time? thanks guys, oh ive read the should i get an s2000 thread and answered alot more questions i DID have.

If you decide to buy one long distance, see if you can find someone from the board to go check it out for you. I found someone to check the car out and test drive it for me when I bought it, and all it cost me was $50 for a nice gift cert. to his favorite restaurant. Pretty cheap insurance IMO, especially if it saves you a plane flight to check out the car.

You might check on here. The guys on here baby their cars. I will be selling mine within the next 6 months.

You can usually get an extended warranty. I bought one with mine which I hope helps it sell better on ebay when that dreadful time comes.

i'll make sure to look. by the way i am looking into getting an S for around $21-23,000, i seen a few on ebay around my price range. i really dont want one thats modded already or that has alot of track time on it. on the extended warrenty, how much extra was it and what comes with the warrenty? i've seen that the original warrenty runs out at 32,000miles.

Just keep looking, the deals are out there. Munkee pointed me to mine which I got for 24k with 4k miles on MY'02. This was after searching for at least a month on my own.

If you're going to buy a '00 that doesn't have an extended warranty, I'd hold some bucks in reserve for the unexpected repair bill. I'm neither endorsing nor condemning the extended warranties, just mentioning that if you're making payments on a 3+ year old car, you should have some money for repairs in the budget. Even with an extended warranty, you should have some cash in the budget to cover wear items: brakes, clutch, etc.
