how are your stock shocks doing?
i just switched to H&R. the ride is a bit smoother than my previous RS*R Ti2000 springs. I like both springs, but for different reasons for both. anyways....here it is on H&R, stock shocks and 18" wheels.
After reading all this i think i am sold on the H&R sport springs as well. Had them in my prelude and they rode awesome. Just a little worried about the springs settling out to a 1.5"+ lower as i do have 18's and am worried about rubbing. Anyone else had this issue of them settling out?
Guys, if you go to Adventon.com, scroll down to S 2000 and choose "lowering springs". Look for H&R springs and I think you will not be mad at the price. It's the lowest I 've found...Hope this helps
Had H&R's on my MY00 for 60K miles with stock springs, 17" SSR GT1's, the drop was definitely over 1" .. right at 1.5" or so. Car was so low I actually popped off an OEM side strake hitting a pothole (the strakes hang down a bit) but I liked the ride, feel and look, they definitely reduced the body roll. I had occasional rubs on the driver side rear with a very heavy load (2 people and luggage) with a neutural camber. (can't remember the exact wheel offsets, 49 and 55 mm I think) Hope you like them!

I have KG/MM Supersports on Koni shocks right now. I just got my new set of Ground Controls. If I were you, I would seriously consider the Ground Controls. They give you adjustable ride height, custom spring rate choices, and are guaranteed even with competetion use. They are a bit more expensive that regular springs but, with the combination of the Ground Controls and the Konis, you have a much better and much less expensive alternative to the many JDM coilovers.

Ground Control adjustable springs are a VERY GOOD alternative to springs or coilovers, IMHO. I've found them to be excellent for street and track set ups. I haven't tracked with GC's yet, I just got them in Feb., but S 2000 ATL went for a very spirited, I was in the "progressive, front group, drive and they took curves very well!

You do not need spring compressors to do the install youself, it would take about 2 hours or so if you take your time (half hour per corner)
we just installed springs on Cubs2k's car and a spring compressor was needed to remove the stock springs from the assembly. How else would you remove the cap??
the good news is that autozone will loan spring compressors free of charge

WARNING!!!
If you try to do a spring swap without a spring compressor and you do not know what you are doing, you WILL either seriously hurt yourself or your car.
Don't do it!
