Default needs help removing wheels to paint my calipers

I got my car all jacked up but could not get the lug bolts to move. They seemed to be stuck. Please help. What should I do? I tried the hammer but they would not bulge.

Did you try to loosen the lug nuts BEFORE jacking the car up? Loosen them when the car is still on the ground, then jack it up, then remove the wheel(s).

Yikes! This is a first.

Lefty loosie...righty tighty.

Not to be a smartass, but being unable to loosen a lug nut does bring into question the mechanical skill level issue - you do not want to break a stud, and how did they get so tight in the first place?

Are you using a quality 6-point 19mm hex drive on a 3" 1/2" drive extension attached either to a big torque wrench or a quality 1/2" drive or preferably a 1/2" drive 24" breaker bar?

If the answer to the last sentence is no , seek professional help or the assistance of a bud with better shop skills and/or tools. Good luck.

make sure you loosen all the lugs enough before jacking the car up or you'll never get them off.
