Use your foot and step on the tire wrench, but make sure the car on still on the ground! Slightly loosen each lug nut on the wheel you're woking on and then raise the car. Once the wheel is off the ground then take the lugs off.

All too often dealerships or other mechanics use impact tools incorrectly and seriously over-tighten lug nuts. I know you don't want to hurt your baby, but if the lugs are over tightened you will have to muscle up or slightly bounce on the tire wrench with your foot. Good luck...

to all you haters, I got the wheels off and got my calipers painted. It took me the whole day to finish but now my wheels look so much better with the red calipers in them.

Hey Hondo!

What paint system did you use?
I'm doing the G2 kit this weekend, and wanted to hear some recent impressions.

Did you mix the paint all at once? I've been told the paint gets pretty goopy by the 3rd coat, and to mix half at a time.

Did you prep the calipers by grinding them down first?

How long before you put everything back together to drive?

Thanx in advance. I'm pretty stoked to do this after putting some Eibach springs on last weekend!
Now I need those calipers to look better (and then on to the rotors!)
