1) They are just ignorant, and stupid. They make the same comment from hearing some other clown say the same stuff without even driving the car.

2) They don't understand the physics or technology of cars, hence #1.

3) They don't want to give you the satisfaction, even if they somehow deeply like the S, they will hate on it since you have it.

4) They have different values like they're booaholics, 1/4 junkies, and definately not into handling or real racecar driving which is on a track.

 

The S2000 is unique and like most thing that differ from the norm it will have detractors, if for no other reason than it is different in concept and design from what the detractors are used to dealing with. It is not a dragster, an American V8, or a German road car and it is not meant to be. As for myself this is as close as I will ever come to driving a formula 1 race car. The opinion of the uninformed are of no consequence. I will continue to enjoy the unique driving experience the S2000 offers regardless of what others think.

It's strange that a similar thread appeared on RSX World recently. RSX owners complaining that S2000 owners on this board have been dissing the RSX, although they didn't give any specific examples.

I think it's unhealthy to be so worried about making sure the entire world loves you.

 

RSX is a little different. Main weakness with that car is that it's FWD. *In general*, a properly setup RWD or AWD car will out perform a FWD car. It's simple physics.

That said, I'd *love* to own a Mini Cooper S, they are HOT!!!!!

In short, love cars, love people, love life.

 

i just don't understand when people say, i can get X car and add this and that and a few of these now i can beat you. Why don't we all just buy civics.

also with regards to price. 33k for a honda, so what! what does price have to do with anything. i mean geez, over 100k for a ferrari, and is not 5 times as fast my car. man that is so overprice, I better get a civic.

 

Do the miatas and mr-s really outhandle it in auto-xs though? I remember hearing that the miata rapes in auto-x.
