Neighbors yelling "SLOW DOWN!"
Same boat here... I have an old coot across the street that LITERALLY has a barka-lounger in his garage that he sits in ALL DAY and "watches" the neighborhood. I am cool with it, as my neighborhood incidentally has a low rate of crime. It sucks though, because I have a couple of ricers that live next to me in a cul-de-sac (civics w/ b18's and fart can exhausts and slammed so low they can't get into the downhill driveway
). He thinks that we are somehow connected because our cars are modded, and always talks to me everytime he hears an aftermarket exhaust go by (and NO ONE ever goes over 25 in our neighborhood, as there are 3 stop signs over the course of 300 meters or so, and they have raised intersections, so any speed and I bottom out). I do not think he understands that we are not even going fast! He hears what his Buick would sound like if it were doing 100, and assumes that loud = fast.
I just dont understand people sometimes....

Said in a really pissed off tone "How fast do you think I was going??"
She started stammering "Uhh...uh..like 40".
"I was doing 28. The speed limit on this road is 25."
She just kind of looked down while her daughter was watching her. I then proceeded back up the road the way I came, turned the next street and continued on my way.
Good times
my house is the first one in the neighborhood, so i dont have that problem. Only time i ever had trouble with cars at my house was when my buddy did a burnout in front of my house. They didnt get mad at me, but the old lady next door came over and yelled at me to tell him never to come back. Next day he was parked in the driveway all day and she sat and stared out her window pretty much all day waiting for him to do it again.........which he ended up doing that evening after the bbq. He has been called an ass once or twice in his day though.
A friend of mine ran into this a few years ago, back when he used to drive a '93 Geo Metro... He'd drive up his hill in 2nd gear and had a neighbor yell at him.
The next day, he comes up the same hill in 1st gear, giving the same neighbor a blank stare, all the while making lots and lots of noise and going very, very slowly

I've had similar problems to those already listed. A very good friend of mine lives toward the end of a small, twisty street which has cul-du-sacs and other small streets connecting to it. Because of its twisty-ness it is difficult to see too far ahead, and there are usually children playing or couples walking in the streets (being very stupid, if you ask me), so I usually kick into neutral after entering the street and coast down the hill to my friend's house.
On one occasion someone (whom I assume was a neighbor) came rushing down the street after I had parked in the driveway. Hollering and waiving his arms frantically complaining about how "fast" I was going (keeping in mind I coast the not steep at all hill in neutral), he actually had the balls to SLAM my car door while yelling at me. It took a lot not to beat him with a hammer, but I pulled myself together and took the tirade, all while simply smiling at him and remaining silent.
The very next time I went to my friend's house, I happened to notice the same gentleman standing near the curb. I proceeded to pull the car out of gear and hover the throttle near redline. As I rolled past him (probably at 10mph, or so) I gave him a nice big smile. The guy was fuming, but never bothered us again.

^ That's the best revenge.

That's awesome.
I hope I can do that someday.
