when i had the em1 with a greddy exhaust neighbours always gave me a hard time when i drove 30 through the streets, stupid quiet streets of florida

 

I had the same thing happen to me while volunteering for the stupid voting system crap. My job was to post signs around the streets to show people where the voting house was. So I want to finish my job asap. I speed down the hill (5-10miles over speedlimit of 35-40) and I see an old man waving his hands. Mind you that the car is loud even at stock everything. So after depositing the signs downhill I drove uphill, same speed.
After parking the car at the house, the old guy walks up to me and say "SLOW the FOOK down, you know there are kids playing on the streets."

So I was thinking, WTF are kids doing playing ON the streets. This is a double yellow line street, so its the main road for these houses. Shouldnt parents do their duty and watch their mistakes. I didnt have kids so others can watch over them. If your kid dies because he/she was playing in the streets.... well I dont know who to blame. The parent or the speeder. Even if a hit a kid at 35, I dont think he/she will survive in a "good living condition" maybe end up w/ something that ruins their life.

Of course I'm not saying I was an ass for speeding like crazy. I'm not here to kill any kids. I slow down in residential areas, because I know kids will be around playing, ie balls falls in street and what not. But WTF are they doing playing in a main road?

I didnt say anything to the old guy, I just walked away.

I've been fine though in the S because I generally try to avoid making noise and being a hazard to the other idiots who don't teach their kids, or walk out/pull out into the road themselves. I don't feel like being the executioner in Darwin's population reduction

 

Yea I had this happen to me July 4th. My little brother (in law) just got a integra w/ a loud ass apexi exhaust. And I was driving it around the neighborhood going 10mph (speed limit 15 and there's always SUV's and trucks going well over 15) in 1st so the exhaust is extra loud. Some lady and her husband came over to complain. We apologized and told them we weren't even speeding it's just the exhaust. Then she starts flipping out and we just ignore it and walk away. Then her husband starts yelling out racial crap (i'm asian) so that kind of pissed me off. I apologized and everything yet they kept on going cursing and saying other mean things.

 

Actually... it happened to me twice also when I didn't have an exhaust... so ha... lol.

This is a great place to vent.....

Story:

Me and my girlfriend had a get together with some friends (30 deep), who all have fast, loud cars. Anyways my nephew wanted to ride in my car (hes 5), so I take him around the block a couple times" top down" and a neighbor come out "SLOW THE F*** DOWN". So I stop and tell my nephew to cover his ears. I get out the car and tell him that I have a "5" year old kid in the car and I was not speeding, also I told him to watch his language. He said f*** you. I said I'll be seeing you. So I proceed back to the house, getting out the car. he rolls up and tells me that I need to stop speeding, well I was like F*** you, go back home. He said or else what. Then My friends heard me arguing with this guy from the back yard. So they come out and the old guy was like "oh shit. sorry I did not mean to piss you off" I was like Dude relax if I was that type of guy, we would not be have this conversation. So he went home.

Now when I pass this guy, he looks away or goes back into is home.

heres another (short)

I was driving down a public street, when this guy decides to cross it in the middle of traffic with his kid. So he proceeds to cross and I see that someone is crossing so I down shift all the way to first. And I guess he thought I was driving fast, so He starts cursing me out and says" Im going to kick your ass". I was like ok, he just kept looking at me, so I go top down and say "come here and show me. This dude was ghetto or looked ghetto. So he says get out the car, I get out and I guess he thought I was a small filipino kid or something. As soon as i get out of the S2K he was like F*** that, your luck my kids with me. I was like OK, have a nice day!

Im only 5'10 and 195 lean. So I dont know. Some people are just plain stupid or just really jealous.

 

So that basically means that you're jacked... LOL.

your neighborhood has speed limit of 25mph?

mine is only 15mph.

I wouldn't go whipping around corners at neighborhoods. that's just irresponsible.

But I do hate those people who yell slow down. I'm sure those are the people who write letters to MTV complaining there are too much sex on TV or those people who talks on their cellphone on highway driving at 45mph holding everybody behind them.
