new 05 owner here
I just picked up a Rio Yellow Pearl 05 with 13 miles on it (almost 400 now, hehehe) on Sunday. I'm 20 and I bust my freaking ass to buy the things I want. I found it very gratifying to drive off in a brand new s2000 which I got on my own (722 median credit score baby!) after not even recieving any help from sales people because they assumed I couldn't buy the car. I stood by it for 20 minutes before receiving any help and eventually called the dealership while standing by it and said "I'd like to test drive an s2000, I'm looking to buy it today" and the guy was like "oh great, when would you like to come by" and I was like "actually it's funny you say that, I got here 20 minutes ago and not a single sales person has been kind enough to even acknowledge my existence. maybe you can help me out with that" and hes like "oh really? where are you" and I was like "standing by the car". With that bit of a victory aside, the dealership won in the end since I was stupid enough to pay msrp of 33,800 or some shit (AAAH!!!! im kicking myself now since I lost the nerve to haggle pricing). I didn't want to haggle on pricing since I wasn't sure if I could even qualify. I put $3k down and left that day with my new car, god damnit I should have held out for $30k and run it up to $33k with the headrest speakers, front lip, side strakes, and rear spoiler. damnit!...
well... I love the car, and I guess thats all that really matters. It will be getting some sort of forced induction in January or Febuary, still trying to figure that out though. Thinking I'm going to go with Full-Race manifold and downpipe and a GT35R turbo with Tial wastegate, etc. Money is little to no concern and I want to get about 400whp. any advice would be great (from turbo ap2 owners, not people who know a guy who knows a guy with a turbo ap2). aside from that I'm also looking to get the following;
1)BBS silver LM wheels
2)Factory front lip
3)Comptech Sideskirts
4)Seibon TS carbon fiber hood (painted with vents exposed)
5)some sort of swaybars
6)headrest speakers and any other audio I can squeeze into the cockpit within reason
7)comptech exhaust
thanks for listening to me rant, ill post pics this weekend.

But I've found (at both car dealerships and electronics store) that you can usually get a salesperson's attention by playing with the merchandise, pushing buttons, and making noise.

yeah, I had some idiot punk 17 year old at a meet last night say some stupid shit to my friend along the lines of "he got ripped off, my mom got hers for 29k a few months ago" and when he walked up and tried acting cool with me about things I was like "so your mom got hers for 29k? I guess when you dont make 12k a month you need to haggle on pricing... by the way, what do you drive?", he mumbled some shit and walked off.
