Congrats just got an 05 myself. I am 24 and in the military and don't make alot of money, just saved some up while in the desert. So I haggled for 3days. Walked out the first day, then did the rest of the negotiating over the phone, first through my salesman then through the "manager"lol. Anyway got it down to 30k.Msrp was $34500. I am sure everyone that sees me in it thinks I'm just some spoiled kid, but I too work hard for what I have.

Don't feel you're special because you're young and a salesman ignored you . I am 50, went to buy an S2000 had a 2001 BMW with me ready to trade, a checkbook in hand to pay cash, and the the color I wanted had just arrived on the lot. They would not let me drive the darn thing because it was so 'special'. I got pissed, left and ended up buying a 911. I still think the S would be a great car and come by here to catch up. Congats on your new car.

Did you finance through american Honda? the reason i ask is i figured you got a stellar APR since you make 12k a month and only put 3k down on the car? just curious, and oh yea congrats. And get ready for many people commenting on your age and the car. I am 25 and look even younger, i hear comments all the time, i just laugh and chalk it up to jealousy....I also got an amazing deal on my car that i couldn't pass up so i smile knowing that. Enjoy the car, i am going to enjoy it right now

As far as putting that much HP to the wheels, you should check in the Under the Hood forum. There is someone on here that is putting like 500 to the rear wheels....i think is screenname is Sideways (or Slideways).....something like that.

For that much HP, you will probably need a stroker kit (up displacement to 2.5L). Also, you will probably have to be running mad boost. Probably will need to sleeve the engine (IMO....better safe than sorry!). The bottom end is already forged, so it is plenty strong, but you will probably need new retainers, springs, port the head, all new intake and exhaust, bigger injectors, EMS system.....and some other things....check in that forum, they will steer you right.

I am in the same boat as you....22 with a stellar credit record (owned 2 houses), and no one gave me the time of day! I wanted an AP1, because the engine is a bit more of a screamer....i know....little things, but I like the AP1 better.
