JACKBOX,
Dude...welcome to the club man. Glad you found our forum.
Should be someone here that can help you.
I have one big hint to give you.
When shifting from 3rd to 4th...use the front of your fingers and your palm and point your thumb downwards. I tried the pistol grip at first and I accidently shifted from 9000k in 3rd gear to 2nd gear.
Thumb down technique for 5th to 6th also!

Just remember to shif your weight....or was that skiing??
Good luck with the classes. I taught my wife and both daughters to drive sticks(but of course not on the S2K).
You'll get lots of use of the 6 speeds and enjoy every one!

I'm confused-Can you drive a stick on a slushbox licence? If you pass on a stick, you're OK to drive either in UK, but pass on a slushbox, you're stuck with it.
That seems logical as it's so fundamental to driving technique (ask any autocrosser or pro racer), it really is important to understand what you're doing any why you're supposed to do it! Especially as the car is apparently so unforgiving of driver errors.

Chris, thanks for the info.
All I need's the air fare. Then, hire & Ford Econoline & take my test. Then trade in the S2K for a Kenworth K-900 with a 600BHP, 13 speed crash transmission, room to live. buy me a stetson, king of the road.
Woo-Hoo!
