This is not fair. How come some of you gave me a hard time when I was interested in getting the S2K even though I said I wasn't that good of a driver (someone actually told me to learn how to drive before I get a S2K) and nobody said anything about him LEARNING how to drive on a S2K? This is favoritism.

Oh I get it. It's cause I didn't just go get one is it?

I learned how to shift when I got my 94 Integra GSR. Here is a little trick that someone taught me - which helped a lot.

While in 1st gear, slowly let go the clutch. When you see a small drop in your RPM, start stepping on the gas - note, more gas, less clutch . The point where the RPM drops a little is when your clutch starts engaging. This is a great method to get to know the "feel" of the clutch. (Also barefoot is a great way to "feel" the clutch engaging.)

It also comes in handy when you're learning how to shift quickly on a hill - as beginning stick drivers get a little antsy on the hills. Oh I love those hills in SF.

But most of all... pratice, pratice, in a parking lot, on a gentle slope - go forward, backwards, up a hill - understand that on a hill it's okay for some backward movement .

Have fun...

Picking up my silver/blk tomorrow! Yeah!!!
