New :)
hey, im new here... been visiting this page for quite a while now and planning to get the S2000 within 2 months.
just wanna say wazzup!
I also got a question...
Im driving the 97+ prelude right now and going to trade in the car for the S2000.... torque wise... how big of a difference do they have?
does the S2000 feel stronger or the Prelude?
tell me your feeling when you sat on both cars
thanks!

I would imagine the Lude actually has only a little more torque than does the Stook, and it weighs more than the Stook as well. The s2k also has at least 20% more horsepower. No contest stock to stock.

I think you'll find them quite comparable. Even though the S2000 has a 10% or so smaller engine and resultingly less torque at any given rpm, it's gearing is also shorter and the car is lighter - thus making up most of the difference. The torque curve on the Prelude VTEC engine is a bit fatter at the low end but the weight and gearing advantage of the S2000 make up that difference.
Though, the S2000 will feel more torquey after 5000 miles or so.
Also, going from FF to MR in engine/drive configuration - do be careful of the handling characteristic differences.
