New 2003 Spa Yellow Pearl
Ok guyz,
I'm about to trade in my 2001 EBP Prelude in on a S2000. For a long time I wanted this car, but I couldn't afford it. Now that's not a problem and I'm about to order it which the guy said $500. He also said that it was going to take 8-10 weeks to get it in??? Does it really take that long?
I don't know if I can wait that long.
Here is the second question. What will I be expecting? Is there a big difference in the two? Performance wise? Just overall driver comparasion. And what dealer options would you get?
Thank you so much,
Cassidy

Like s2kpdx01 said look around they are their, especially in the winter time. Sounds like the dealer you went to is not a volume delaer. I paid a little less than MSRP last year in the winter for our 2002 Spa. Good luck.

I ordered my Spa in January 2002 and took delivery in May 2002. My dealer doesn't stock yellow so I had to order. Other dealers do but I wasn't in a rush and wanted to work with this one dealer. I agree, if you don't mind looking around, you probably won't have to wait!
I probably had the most similar situation to you. Before my S I had a 2001 EBP prelude and I traded it in for a 02 yellow. The day I traded it in is the day they went to another dealership and brought the car for me.
To answer your second question, the s2000 is better than the prelude in every way. It looks better, handles better, comes with 6 speeds, faster, convertible. The prelude is a piece of shit that is overpriced and is way too slow. It runs a mid 15 quarter mile man, even luxury cars can beat it, that's pathetic.
Respect is another reason why you should get it. Whenever I pulled up in my prelude to a dealership they would treat me like shit. Now when I pull up in my S, they call me sir and ask me if I need help and even opened the door for me.
There's really no comparison here. One thing I do have to give the Prelude, and only the 2001's is, the electron blue is a nice color.
