Default New 2005 S2000 Broke down after 2 days!

Picked up new 2005 S2000 wednesday night. Have put 40 miles on it since. While driving to work this morning go to shift from 2-3 and the clutch stays on the floor and won't come back up. Any thoughts? TIA

Clutch hydraulic leak? Maybe your slave or master cylinder decided to quit on the job. Check to see if you've still got fluid in the clutch fluid reservoir.

That's terrible, I'm sorry you HAVE to drive the S4. Just kidding, I'd say there's a leak in the system. Get your car to the dealer and don't take blame for anything.

I can only hope the dealership doesn't try to blame him for anything on a 2 day old car

I'd agree with the others though, there is a problem with the hydraulic system. Either a bad master clutch cyinder, slave clutch cylinder or a leak in a line.

Check the resovoir for fluid, if there isn't any, look for a leak. Master Cyl will leak into the drivers side footwell under the clutch pedal, slave will leak on the tranny, might be hard to reach, never messed with an S2K. The leak may be any of the soft or hard lines in the system.

If there is fluid, it's likely a bad master or slave cylinder.

Sucks on a 2 day old car regardless

It's probably the release valve on the clutch. I had exactly the same thing happen to me. It was an easy fix.
